The ultimate comfort food, lasagne. How to make it even better? Veganise it! The new Plant Kitchen range from Marks & Spencer has gone and done it, and they’ve done it well.
It’s your typical ready meal of lasagne but veganised. I do love having the option of a ready meal when it’s been a long day or I fancy a treat.
So far I haven’t ever had a vegan lasagne that is super similar to the ‘normal’ version – this one is spot on!
The bechamel sauce was perfectly creamy with such a great flavour, the lasagne sheets were so soft and delicious and the ‘mince’ has an amazing texture. Sometimes with mince substitutes I find them to be very squidgy and not overly appealing but this one is great.
The only slight downfall is the tomato sauce slightly lacks in flavour. It’s probably me being fussy but I would have liked more herbs!
Have you tried any of the products from the Plant Kitchen range? I’ve also tried the Cashew Mac and that’s equally as delicious!
