Last month Surrey Vegan Events held an Oktoberfest market based in Walton, so obviously my first stop was to scope out the beers!
Tipple on Tap had a range of vegan larger’s, vegan wines and other goodies. Weirdly for me, I went for a water… I arrived early so I thought a pint may be a little over the top, but obviously I appreciated the Oktoberfest vibes!
My boyfriend had an Oatly coffee from the friendly fella at Tipple on Tap and it was simply gorgeous.
I loved the look of this little van overall, it’s not like anything I’ve seen before so would definitely recommend checking them out!
I’ve been to the lovely Surrey Vegan Market at Walton once before but was very pleased to see the addition of a covered seating area which was such a good touch. It was almost full for most of the day which was a great sign with many people enjoying vegan goodies!
I cannot explain how excited I was when I saw that Kinda Co. were going to be at the market this time. I have followed them on Instagram for a very long time but have always wanted to sample their cheese before purchasing, so I think this was fate bringing us together!
What a fabulous selection Kinda Co. had, and I was so pleased to arrive early so none had sold out yet! The owner Ellie was so friendly and inviting, making the experience of trying her products a memorable one!
All of their products were phenomenal. Not only were the textures spot on, the flavours were great too! The decision was so tough, but in the end I went for the Nacho Dip and the Faux Lox and Dill Cream Cheese. Honestly, I devoured these both within about three days of purchasing… Don’t judge me, just know you need to try them!
Standing out from the stalls was the cute orange van from Ollo Foods, a Godalming based company who serve up the most delicious vegan dosa’s. I had tried these before at Guildford Market so had to get my boyfriend to try one – He loved it!
The lovely owner had samples of their pickles to try which were so fragrant and delicious, I absolutely love the packaging of these too! They would make the perfect present.
Another Godalming based company that I was very excited to see what The Vegan Bakes. After following Claudia on Instagram for a while, I just couldn’t wait to see her products in person.
As soon as I saw the beautiful branding I was there, front of the line eyeing up all of the sweet treats she had to offer! I purchased a box of goodies which I will be writing a full review on but please do take a look at her @theveganbakes on Instagram, her content is stunning and her bakes are equally as amazing!
The ultra cool Nomads Food were at the market again so I just had to have the Smokey BBQ Jackfruit Sub – it was hella good!
To me, jackfruit is amazing, but this was at another level. The smokey flavours paired with the crunch of the veggies and the softness of the sub worked so well. As I write this, I wish I was eating it again, it was truly stunning.
I also made a purchase from Heather & Honey as I can never resist a candle/wax melt. Cutely packaged, the scents of these were lovely and the range was very varied. After much deliberation, I went for the Gingerbread wax melts as I was having a little festive moment, full review coming soon!
There were so many other amazing stalls there too serving up all sorts of goodies, I can’t wait to go along again and try out more! It’s great to see small businesses getting together and showing off their amazing products.
Have you tried any of these products before? If so, let me know what you thought!
