Okay, so it’s not exactly “eating out”, but it’s still not something I’ve cooked, so I’m adding it into that category!
Papa John’s is my favourite place for a treat via delivery and what better day to have it than on National Junk Food Day! (Why can’t that be EVERY day?!)
Today I ordered a small pizza, no cheese with tomatoes, onions and peppers. Then I made it look all fancy by adding French’s mustard on top. There are so many yummy vegan options at Papa John’s which I’ve listed below.
Papa John’s bases are vegan and there are some veggie options to add on top:
- Baby portobello mushrooms
- Black olives
- Chilli powder
- Fresh pineapple
- Fresh tomatoes
- Green chilli peppers
- Green / Red peppers
- Jalapeno peppers
- Onions / Red onion
- Sliced pepperoncini
When you’re wanting more, the potato wedges are vegan too and the corn on the cob comes with no butter on so you can grab that as well!
The sauces are noted as a no for vegans, but most of them don’t contain anything non vegan, but on their websites there are “may contain” notes.
As for desserts (my FAVE bit of any meal) there is nothing listed as suitable for vegans. Although looking at ingredients previously, the cinnamon twists are… but “may contain” eggs and milk. Everyone has different opinions on this, but I personally have had the twists and they are DAMN good!
As for extras, I always add something to my pizzas, be it fresh rocket, sauces or vegan cheese, always amps up the game a lil bit!
